A beautifully constructed large chess board produced by the world famous Spanish chess board maker Rechapados Ferrer. Montgoy palisander (rosewood) and maple veneers are used throughout with even the board's base being constructed constructed from quality wooden veneers.
Modern fabrication techniques are used making for a chess board with clean lines and meticulous attention to detail. The rosewood used is very rich in dark reds and browns with a subtle grain, contrasting beautifully with the lighter maple square and perfect for matching with rosewood, red sandalwood or ebony chessmen with wider bases and over 4 inches (101 mm) king heights.
