These superb Lewis chessmen have been beautifully crafted in the UK, just near to the border of Devon and Somerset. They are extremely accurate reproductions of the famous Lewis chessmen. This edition features a 6.99 cm King height which means the set is ideal for a chess board of around 40.64cm. Many of the larger, or full size Lewis chess sets require such a huge board that they become a bit impractical. These retain all of the fine detail but are on a more manageable scale. Each piece has been expertly felted on the base. A really lovely piece of history with the benefit of additional queens.
