A 48.26 cm veneer chess board with fine quality inlays. This is a classic design that is available in most chess outlets, our version however has been made in Europe to a very high standard and represents superb value for money for such a good quality wooden chess board. A heavy board with a solid feel and very well finished, it's the design you've seen for years, being used in famous tournaments, often with very famous players or celebrities sat either side of it. The reason this board has been used so much is that it complements so many different styles of pieces. It works well with brown wooden chessmen but looks equally at home with black ones.

The squares on this board can accommodate a king height of up to 8.89 cm or up to 9.53 cm as a maximum. This version of this lovely board is supplied with notation. This allows you to record each move in each game so you will be able to read and replay at a later date. It also allows you to play notated games from years ago. Games that are recorded in this fashion, allow you to review, analyse and learn from them.
