Business-to-consumer orders are covered by our standard returns policy. Business-to-business orders, including those placed by film, TV and media production companies, are handled under separate terms. This page explains how returns work when you are purchasing sets for use on screen or on set.

Return Conditions for Production Companies

If you are ordering as a production company (business-to-business), the following conditions apply to any return request:

Returns must be requested and goods received back within 7 days of delivery, not the 30-day period offered to general consumers.
Products must be in their original, unopened packaging, with all accessories, inserts and labels intact.
Items must be unused and unmarked; any signs of use, handling damage, or missing packaging may result in the return being rejected.
Goods that arrive back opened or used will be re-shipped to the production company and no refund will be issued.

These terms apply specifically to business-to-business orders placed by production companies for use in film, TV, advertising or other commercial projects.

How This Differs from Consumer Orders

Private customers purchasing for personal use benefit from our standard 30-day return window, in line with consumer distance selling regulations. Business orders do not fall under the same framework and are therefore subject to the shorter 7-day returns period and stricter condition requirements outlined above.

Props Advice for Chess and Backgammon Sets

If you need a chess set, backgammon set or other board game as a prop, we strongly recommend contacting us before placing your order. This helps avoid unnecessary returns and ensures the right set arrives on time for your production.

We can advise on which styles and sizes work best for close-up shots, wide scenes and specific period settings.
Where possible, we may be able to offer a loan or short-term hire arrangement instead of a standard retail purchase.
We can coordinate directly with production teams and props departments to match your creative brief and schedule.
