American Sheesham and Walnut Chess Set

New for this season, the American series Staunton chessmen in sheesham (golden rosewood) and boxwood, matched with our popular European walnut and maple chess board.

This set measures almost 20 inches in width and has a king height of 3 3/4 inches. This set is slightly larger than our British sheesham and walnut set. The detailing of these chess pieces is a little more intricate with a more charismatic Knight and more detailing on the Bishop and Rooks. They also feature slightly wider bases throughout.

The Spanish made chessboard is a veneer design and is made to exacting standards. The whole board is coated in a light sheen lacquer which helps protect and makes cleaning much easier. A traditional Staunton chess set that is well made yet won't break the bank.
